I’m Julie and have lived in Wootton for just over 20 years, seeing many changes to the area during this time. I have two grown up children who both went to Wootton primary and Caroline Chisholm schools.

I have always had a keen interest in nature and the environment and jumped at the chance of joining like-minded local people in the Wild About Wootton group. This has seen me participate in a variety of local planting schemes, alongside other enthusiastic volunteers from local schools and the community, including hedge and tree planting. The chance to improve the natural environment so close to home is extremely rewarding and is something I am passionate about. I hope this is something that I can continue to develop and inspire others to engage in. Climate change has an impact on all of us and the chance to make a difference, however small it may seem, is something I hope the local community can become more involved with.
