The official Statement of Persons Nominated for the Parish Council election on 1st May has now been published and can be found below, you’ll see this is marked as uncontested.

So what does that mean?  There are 12 seats on Wootton Parish Council, but fewer than 12 people put themselves forward. Because of this, there won’t be a public vote – instead, the candidates who were nominated will automatically become councillors.

Even though there’s no ballot, these nominees are still officially elected councillors and will help make decisions on behalf of the community.
