Wootton Community Meeting - collage of photos showing defib demo, stall holders and art exhibition

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last night for our Community Meeting, we had a fantastic turnout with 56 residents in attendance!

We took a different approach this year, starting with informative reports from Chairman of the Parish Council, Cllr Emma Fisher, Cllr Larrett from West Northamptonshire Council and our Neighbourhood Police team – who reassured us that crime in the parish has reduced since last year.

After the formal reports, we enjoyed a refreshment break, giving everyone the opportunity to network and speak to the brilliant organisations and groups that make our parish so special.

A special highlight was the wonderful Art Exhibition, showcasing incredible work from residents who attend the weekly art class at the community centre. It was fantastic to see such local talent on display.

Rain Northants also joined us, sharing their important work on sustainable water solutions and one lucky attendee took home their very own Rain Garden.

To top it all off, we had a life-saving CPR & Defib demonstration from our Community First Responders, reminding us all how crucial these life saving skills are.

We were also privileged to welcome our MP, Mike Reader, who updated residents on his latest work and answered questions.

Community meetings are all about bringing people together, sharing knowledge, and celebrating what makes Wootton great and last night was a perfect example of that.

Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and contributed and hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did.
